Lovely Weekend

Some people think that love is just a few happy minutes,
Some people know that it can keep them happy all their life.

Some people think that love exists,
Some people know that it does.

Some people can die for love,
                                           Some people simply kill  love.

Some people think that love cant be eternal, that it will die after some time,
                                           Some people make it eternal.

Some people find just one  reason to quit,
Some people find just one reason to stay and make it possible.

Some people never believe in love,
                                           Some people live by  Love.

Some people try to find love through all their life,
Some people can find through one short conversation.

Some people live to love
                                          Some people love to live.

Some people play love
                                          Some people (do) love.

Love is like God- no one ever seen it, but they can feel the presence inside & the things created as a result...

It's just a matter of views....it never means that love doesn't exist., its just that not all people can let their hearts open for it.

For some people my lines are just funny, but for others these are the truth of their Life....

Lovely weekend for All...

The Power of Dreams

Long time ago, before I planned my visit to India, I saw a very interesting and beautiful dream, which I recognized later as a real dream. By that time I couldn't even imagine that it would become true after few months.

The dream was very colorful, full of  yellow and green colors and it was during very hot summer time.
I was going out from the building where I lived, while going downstairs I suddenly saw a woman in Indian sari, she smiled  me and told to go with her to the corner of the building. I was a bit curious, but her smile made me trust and follow her. We entered the small room somewhere in the same building (  i was surprised, coz I'd never seen that small room before, even though i was living there since my childhood). The woman moved her hand telling me to come closer to her, and she took out some colors from her bag and told me to choose one of them. I chose the dark yellowish /orange color. Then she told me that she s going to draw on my back. I stopped for few seconds, but no one can imagine at that time what good energy was coming from that woman, and all my fears pass and i carefully sat on the chair. She started drawing on my back and when she completed, I looked at the mirror and saw a huge orange Sun on my back with a large waving  rays. The woman smiled and hugged me telling that now I can go.

A few months later in Real life in India the same Sun of the same color was drawn on my palm :)) It wasnt a back but anyway it was the Sun. The same woman with her  kind smile, which will remain with me always put mehindi on my hands. A woman who became very special to me was real. :)) At that moment when she was putting the henna & making little decorations on my hand, I suddenly remembered that dream i saw long ago, I was speechless and so much happy that i wanted to hug her and tell that i saw her in my dream once in past, but i was silent, coz it might sound not real.

The power of Dreams made me think that there is One Truth in this world: Define what  you want, believe in that, and it will come true for sure :))

with lots of love..... and the warmth of the Sun ....:)

Miracle in Sweets

My first exclamation in India was because of the great variety of  desserts and, in particular sweets  I saw in a window of a candy shop. These people indeed can create miracles through cooking & baking. You already face the problem of choosing  every time in every aspect of your life, and now how can you immediately decide which sweets to chose from this shop, when the view of each is attracting you :)

Well, its not surprising,  being an Eastern country India should have its rules of making sweets, cookies, and candies in its way like no other country in the world.  ;)

So, Dear readers, after my first trial of cooking an Indian food, I couldn't help myself from going to the next level - to the wonderful and miracle Indian sweets. I found the recipe from an I-net, but I did slight changes in it ;)). I promise that if You once try to taste this miracle, You will make it regularly :)) moreover if I tell that You will not put on weight, because milk and diary products are well balanced and easily absorbed ;)

All You need are:

Butter 120 g
Powdered sugar 60 g
Milk powder 220 g
Cream 30 ml of 30-33% fat
Pine nuts (nut-pine), 50 g
Cashews 20g

Mix a little melted butter with powdered sugar, milk powderAdd the cream and pine nuts. And begin to rub everything by hand, until the mixture acquires a smooth consistency. Number of powdered milk and cream may vary. The dough should be soft.

I took the picture for the first time while cooking, I hope U will not judge so hard :))

After that cool it a bit by putting  it into  the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Now lets model the  cubes, decorate  them with the nuts on top. Put ready candies on a plate and put them into the freezer again. Wait for 20-30 minutes until they freeze slightly.

Here we got our first Miracle :))))

Dear readers, this is the best dessert for the morning: taste it with coffee or tea, and You will understand from where it got its name :)

Samosa

I think every person, who even once tastes Indian cuisine, will never forget the delicious and very exotic taste of Indian food. Two months spent in India had completely changed my view about traditions in meals, and after coming back to my country, I decided to try to cook an Indian simple food to have an opportunity to feel myself in India again. At least,  I can do this for sure, without any hesitations.

So, I decided to start my trial with the famous Indian snake- samosa, I liked this recipe, the dough in soft and of course you can experiment with the filling, trying different vegetables. The list of ingredients is long, you need a lot of different spices, if any spices cannot be found, it’s not a problem, you can experiment with different combinations.

For the dough

- Wheat flour - 400 gr.
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Melted butter - 100 g.
- Cold water 150 ml.

For the filling

- 3 potatoes (of a medium size)
- Peas or beans 250 gr.
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 0.5 tsp Fenugreek seeds
- 0.5 tsp Grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 0.5 tsp ground coriander
- 0.25 teaspoon asafoetida
- 0.25 tsp ground cloves
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 0.25 tsp Ground black pepper
-  oil for frying

Put into a bowl the flour, salt, and butter, mix it well, and then add water. Rub the dough with your hands for 5 minutes, until it becomes homogeneous. Cover the dough with a wet towel; it will wait until we prepare the filling.

the dough was really good

Heat oil; add all spices, salt, peper and cook for 5 minutes. Then add cropped potatoes and peas. Mix well and cook for 15 minutes.

3        4
Roll out the dough into medium sized chapatis and cut it into half. Apply little water on the sides and fold it into cone shape.

Fill in the our potato peas mixture and close the other ends as well. Ensure that it is closed well on all sides, else the filling will come out.
My first samosa :)

Heat oil on a low flame and fry these samosas. When cooked on a low flame, the samosa get cooked well and also crispy.

don't judge too hard :)

From India with Love

Sometimes by collecting the smallest parts of our memories we r creating our life histories.
